Its not a recession, its a correction. Correction, its a recession. This is the Colbert Report!

This video from the Colbert Report makes me laugh. Obviously, everything that man does is genius. But this also makes me infuriated. I dont really want to get into it, because i could go on forever (and so could Petraeus apparently). I've been thinking more and more lately that nobody is getting upset enough about these things. The only thing we can really do is just laugh. Oh, General Petraeus took back what he said about the war? Hah! Everything is so flipping insane in this country lately that all we can to is laugh about it. It would be nice for people to get more openly pissed off, and maybe riot or something. It's like we're stuck in the '50s! We're just walking around pretending everything is okay, even though every night we turn on the Daily Show and laugh our asses off at what is happening.

How about we bring on the '60s? I just dont understand. I dont understand why people arent rioting or protesting! It's infuriating, honestly.

"Oh, we're gonna go protest the OLYMPICS!"

fuck you assholes!

how about we go protest a WAR, in which thousands of people are being killed and wounded, that is pointless IN THE FIRST PLACE. How about we protest the pure stupidity of our president, who has throughout the last SEVEN YEARS brought us nothing but humiliation and unnecessary death? everyone is pissed off, but nobody will bother to fucking do anything! and yeah, i know. there isnt a lot we CAN do. but the very LEAST we can do is make our opinions known instead of just sitting around laughing at everything! god i just feel so annoyed at this! every time i turn on CNN i just want to punch someone in the face.

yeah, screw China's human rights record. I agree that it sucks, and that it's sad and everything. but is that REALLY the biggest issue we're having at the moment?

I just keep finding myself asking, "Where are all the reasonable people in the world?"

Perhaps they're all off blogging?

"It's no secret, folks. It's all over the news. We are living in some hard times. The economy is in the crapper, bin Laden is still at large, and Steve Gutenberg is on Dancing with the Stars. I wonder what star he's dancing with? Now I think, in fact, there wouldn't be any good news out there if it weren't for... Nazi gold."
